Wednesday, September 27: “Converting Friends”
Matthew 5: 44, 45: “I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father Who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
Elisha knew: God doesn’t consider anyone His enemy. He loves the world; He sends His blessings on everyone. Anyone who considers themselves an enemy of God came up with that on their own. And, as we see in today’s Old Testament reading (2 Kings 6: 23), when we start treating our ‘enemies’ right, they come around, sooner or later.
